Relaxed café style restaurant with pleasant and sunny courtyard, a few minutes walk from Old Street tube station. Flat entrance, so likely to be accessible (apologies, I didn’t note doorway width). Not a disabled bathroom but on ground level- as is the whole restaurant. Completely vegan, gluten free, sugar and alcohol free menu.
We tried the Buddha bowl of the day at £8.95 and pulled ‘pork’ jackfruit burger at £9.95. Also on offer, aside from savoury dishes were Bircher muesli, desserts, smoothies and an inventive non-alcoholic mocktail menu. The jackfruit ‘burger’ was medium hot in spice with slightly smoky jerk flavour, the texture was good and it was served with an undressed slaw type salad including; mixed cabbage, sugar snap peas, cucumber and pineapple. The Buddha bowl included roasted vegetables, (with minimal oil) and 3 falafels which were tasty and not dry as well as salad items.
It was reasonably quiet when we visited for a midweek lunch. The service was very good, fast and attentive, without being intrusive. To summarise, good, plant based dishes, not fine dining but enjoyable.
