Ashfield House Bed and Breakfast $$

We stayed at the Ashfield House B&B at the head of Loch Long during our first visit to Scotland. Our experience was magnificent in every way imaginable.

The beautifully restored B&B overlooks the majestic waters of Loch Long framed by the golden hills of the Scottish Highlands. The ever-changing scenery was awe-inspiring as it developed from the changing light and weather. There are many things to do within an easy drive from the B&B: hiking, Loch Fyne, whisky producers, the Glencoe region, and much more!

The Mountain View room had a direct view of the hills and Loch. It was extremely comfortable with a cozy ensuite bathroom and luxurious bed… and we loved the welcome treats, fresh flowers, freshly ground coffee from a local business and assortment of teas. We also enjoyed hanging out on the main floor in the sitting room just relaxing and sipping a whisky.

The breakfast was another highlight during our stay. The food is freshly made and the proportions are generous. There were plenty of Scottish options, along with a nice selection of plant-based food for those preferring alternatives. All the food is local – some even made on premise (the orange marmalade was divine).

The comfort of this B&B is a result of the class and sophistication of Cristina. Her devotion to the guests is clear in every detail. Cristina and her husband are engaging and more than willing to offer tips to help make the trip memorable.

We happily and eagerly recommend staying here while visiting Scotland!
